Blogs in Information Technology for Education

Blogs provide a new opportunity for communication for people of all ages, economic status, nationalities and so on. Creating a blog for a class helps students and teachers to be communicated and get constant updates eliminating paper use and note taking. Blogs are tools that can be used to share my ideas, professional projects, and initiatives with other professionals and clients. Furthermore, educational blogs can be customized and include videos, photos, online presentations and so forth. They can also facilitate discussions, publications, share materials, downloads, links, replace newsletters, share lesson plans, create blogs for student groups. Opportunities and challenges are numerous.

“Ours is a world of 24-hour-news cycles, global markets, and high-speed Internet. We need to look no further than our morning paper to see that our future, and the future of our children, is inextricably linked to the complex challenges of the global community. And for our children to be prepared to take their place in that world and rise to those challenges, they must first understand it.” Roderick Paige, Former U.S. Secretary of Education.
